Fermenter
a wild tone shifter
Fermenter is not an EQ, nor a formant shifter, nor a pitch shifter, but something new. It turns pianos into bells, drums into hairy surfaces, guitars into windy tin cans, vocals into abstract artworks.

“Wow, what the hell. fermenter is insane.”
“disturbingly fresh… like walking on an unexplored planet, where gravity feels different.”
Fermenter's algorithm works differently from formant shifters and other timbral shapers: it deconstructs incoming audio into thousands of tiny pieces, and then reconstructs them in a slightly different way.
It can be very subtle, adding just a bit of extra sweetness to the input. But it can also be used to form completely new sounds out of the old, seemingly pulling strange harmonics out of nowhere.
Because Fermenter doesn't use any spectral processing, it has zero latency. This is unlike any polyphonic formant shifter.

FAQ
Is it really a new audio effect?
Yes! Fermenter is not a multieffect; it's a single, unified audio-processing algorithm that no other plugin implements. Try it and you'll hear.
How does it work? / How does it have zero latency?
Hard to explain, but I wrote up a more detailed description of how it works here.
Why does it use so much CPU?
This algorithm inherently takes up a lot of CPU. I've optimized it as best I can! It should use about 5-15% of processing power on most machines and sample rates, but can get to about 30% on some older machines.
Can I activate it on multiple computers?
Yes, one license comes with three activations. You can deactivate old machines from your profile page if you run out.
What if I don't have an account?
You don't need an account to buy or use plugins. If you create one, you'll be able to see the past orders and licenses associated with your email address, and manage activations.
